Douwe Zeldenrust

Douwe Zeldenrust is a coordinator of external cooperation and a project manager at the Meertens Instituut, KNAW. His main research interests and areas of specialization are: digital humanities, e-science, projectmanagement, information management, European research projects, geografical information systems (GIS), interdisciplinairy research, digitisation of historical archives. Some of the projects Douwe is involved in areĀ  CLARIN, Alfalab and KDP Soundbites.

Related to his work, Douwe says:

“My job at the Meertens Institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences provides me with an excellent opportunity to work in the field I like best: digital humanities. My goal is to contribute to the research and the research possibilties in this discipline.”

Previously, Douwe worked as a consultant / project manager and researcher at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Douwe holds an MA in History from the University of Amsterdam, and a post-graduate master certificate in Information and Document Management from Erasmus Universitet Rotterdam.
